Cosmetically, paraffin wax is applied to the hands and feet. Paraffin wax used to help relieve pain, decrease joint stiffness and also minimise inflammation in the hands and feet. When applied to the skin, it adds moisture and help increase blood flow.

However, if you have very sensitive skin, paraffin wax may cause heat rash. The results in small bumps on the skin that can be itchy and uncomfortable. Not suitable on sensitive skin.
